ESIA for the Transportation and Installation of Support Block in Karabakh Field: Our experts conducted a comprehensive Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) for the transportation and installation of a support block within the Karabakh field. The Karabakh DDO-1 platform constitutes a stable steel production and drilling platform anchored at a water depth of 180.5 meters. The platform accommodates six drilled wells equipped with three oil wells, three gas wells, and twelve underwater water pumping fountain fittings. Subsequently, the extracted oil and gas undergo processing in the superstructure before being conveyed through dedicated oil and gas pipelines to the existing DSG-8 and DSG-13 platforms and onward to onshore connection points in the Oil Rocks.
ESIA for the Construction of the “UMID-2” Oil Platform and “Babek” Structure (Umid Babek Operation Company): Our team undertook a thorough Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) for the construction of the “UMID-2” Oil Platform and the operation of the Babek field. Our assessment encompassed a comprehensive evaluation of potential environmental ramifications. Subsequently, we crafted an environmental monitoring plan to guarantee the responsible execution of the project.
ESIA for the Construction of the Igdir-Nakhchivan Gas Pipeline:Our experts were engaged in the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) for the construction of the Igdir-Nakhchivan Gas Pipeline. This significant project entailed the development of a subterranean gas pipeline connecting the Dilucu border point in Turkey to the Sadarak gas distribution station (GDS) in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. The pipeline, with a 16-inch diameter, traverses 17.5 kilometers within Azerbaijan and extends an additional 80 kilometers into Turkey, totaling 97.5 kilometers in length. Designed to handle a capacity of 2 million cubic meters per day, the project implementation adhered to the technical project provided by SOCAR Midstream Operations LLC.
ESIA for the Construction of the “Boyuk Bahmanli – Shusha” Gas Pipeline and Gas Distribution Stations: Our experts conducted an Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) for the construction of the “Boyuk Bahmanli – Shusha” gas pipeline and the associated gas distribution stations (GDS), including “Shusha,” “Fizuli,” and “Agoglan.” The primary aim of this project was to ensure the secure and uninterrupted supply of gas to the liberated settlements of Shusha, the Fuzuli region, and Hadrut (Agoglan) settlement, thereby supporting sustainable development in these areas.
ESIA for the Construction of the “New Dashgil” Oil Terminal (Umid Babek Operation Company): Our experts performed an Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) for the “New Dashgil” Oil Terminal, under the purview of Umid Babek Operation Company. This assessment entailed a comprehensive examination of environmental and social impacts. The culmination of our efforts is a comprehensive final report, serving as a foundation for informed and responsible decision-making.
ESIA for the Construction of the “Horadiz-Lachin” Gas Pipeline and Gas Distribution Stations: In our role as experts, we conducted an Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) for the construction of the “Horadiz-Lachin” gas pipeline and the installation of gas distribution stations (GDS) including “Jabrayil GDS,” “Zangilan GDS,” “Gubadli GDS,” and “Lachin GDS.” This comprehensive project was designed to ensure the safe and uninterrupted supply of gas to the liberated communities of Fuzuli, Jabrayil, Zangilan, Gubadli, Lachin, and Minjivan, contributing to their sustained development.
ESIA for the Construction of the “Corn Processing Company”: Our experts conducted an Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) for the construction of the “Corn Processing Company.” This assessment encompassed a thorough evaluation of potential environmental risks associated with corn processing operations. Through meticulous analysis and comprehensive social surveys, we assessed and identified these risks. This project underscores our dedication to addressing environmental concerns in various industries.
ESIA for the Construction of the “Aghdam GDS” Gas Pipeline Branch with Gas Distribution Station Installation: Our experts performed an Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) for the development of the “Aghdam GDS” gas pipeline branch, including the installation of a gas distribution station along the Azadgaragoyunlu-Agdam gas pipeline. This strategic endeavor guaranteed the uninterrupted and secure delivery of gas to the liberated settlements of the Aghdam region, fostering their sustainable development.
Education and Training
Start to Green Initiatives Project: Our project provided training on crucial topics such as Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), Renewable and Alternative Energy Sources, Environmental Management and Engineering, and Ecotourism. This project empowered individuals with knowledge and skills for a sustainable future.
Environmentally Friendly and Safe School Project: We initiated the project, addressing various topics including HSE, Environmental Problems, Renewable Energy, Waste Management, Gardening and Agriculture, and Environmentally Friendly Camping. This project promoted sustainable practices in educational institutions.
Alternative and Renewable Energy Practical Trainings: We provided comprehensive trainings on various aspects of alternative and renewable energy sources. These trainings covered topics such as hydrogen energy, fuel cells, sustainable transport, solar energy, wind energy, biofuel and biomass energy, smart grids, energy efficiency, and energy policy. Knowledge sharing in these areas contributed to a greener future.
Climate Change: Case of Azerbaijan Seminar: We hosted a seminar on the topic of “Climate Change: Case of Azerbaijan.” This insightful event featured our expert, Tural Maharramov, who led discussions on diverse aspects of climate change and its drivers, with a specific focus on the unique context of Azerbaijan. During the seminar, participants engaged in interactive quizzes and discussions to enhance their understanding of climate change challenges and opportunities in the region. By fostering an environment of active learning and knowledge exchange, this seminar exemplified our commitment to raising awareness and driving meaningful conversations on critical environmental issues within our region.
Environmental Protection and Remote Sensing
Olive Tree Disease Detection Project using Remote Sensing tools (in collaboration with Azercosmos OJSC): In collaboration with Azercosmos, we worked on a project focused on the compactness of dynamics and pre-detection of diseases in olive trees using aerospace photos from the past five years. This initiative combined technology and environmental protection.
